VIDEO: Imagine driving across a bleak California desert on strip of two lane blacktop between Death Valley and
Pahrump, Nevada. You’re on what you think is a flat, featureless plane. Then you see a dirt road turnoff and decide to take it. What the road brings you to is a surreal, unexpected sight: A magical place called
Cathedral Canyon.

very cool!
Did you ever visit the Mojave phone booth? (before it got dismantled)
Yes. I have some great video of the booth before the windows were broken - chuck

Chuck, this is great footage. I’m really captivated by this place and the story behind it. I haven’t been there yet, but plan to in the next year. Much of what I’ve read says it’s been thoroughly vandalized and is in an awful state of disrepair. Your footage shows some pretty amazing, intact pieces however. How recently was your video shot? Do you know of its current condition, whether the lights still work and such? I’m looking forward to going. Thanks for the great video.

Went there today, and heard the small story behind it, and had to see it like it “was”.. incredible….you could almost “feel” how it “used” to be…sad, yet very peacefull…I wish people were not so cruel to have taken and broke and shot this place up…
